I think that some of my descriptions are very poor, changing those descriptions might make it a little bit easier to finish. If you have any difficulties, let me know. I did not intend this to be too hard. Any real hardships are due to my poor communication.
Because this is a work in progress, please let me know anything that crosses your mind. If you think it sucks, let me know. If you think that it was OK but robotic in nature, let me know. I think both of the above are true, and hope to improve both, but I need other input to get other things fixed.
Here is a prototype game that you can try all zipped up for easy download. If you aren't real keen on .zip files, try the big ol' .gam file instead! Both files contain the same game, which is a small representation of the depth to which I hope to allow you to change the physical body. This contains a file called test.gam which you can run once you have installed one of the TADS runtime programs.
If you are a PC user, try this one! This has been compiled so that you don't need to download one of the executables! (If there are any MAC users who are able to generate a similar file for me, let me know! I would love to offer the same for the MAC, as well as any other OS's!
This is only a very primitive representation of what I plan to do with TG-TADS. It is being put here in order to give those who wish to contribute a chance at seeing a little bit of what it can do.
To get this to work, if you don't have the test.exe PC version, you will need a a TADS interpreter (the program that will run the games that have been created.) I wrote this with the latest version of the compiler, so if you have any difficulties running it, let me know!
Here are a few TADS related links that might help you get started quickly:
Let me know what you think about all of this. Any offers to help are welcome.
